A full Product Requirements Document for Kiwi Connect — a proposed feature for Alongside AI that enables anonymous, AI-moderated peer-to-peer chat between students across different schools.
Problem
Alongside's research showed that "building and navigating interpersonal relationships is the stickiest issue for today's teens." Students who used the app were developing skills with Kiwi AI but had no way to practice those skills with real peers. Alongside also lacked a defensible moat against general-purpose AI competitors like ChatGPT.
Solution
Kiwi Connect pairs students anonymously from different schools for ongoing conversations moderated by Kiwi AI. Kiwi provides prompts, keeps discussions respectful, and encourages empathy — without generating the conversation itself.
